Dating from 7000 B.C., pre-Columbian stencils of hands (nearly all are left hands) and animals killed cover the walls of the Cave of the Hands (Cueva de las Manos) in Bajo Caracoles, Southern Patagonia. Natives blew mouthfuls of colored river bottom clay to make the prints.
