The National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa, has been giving away classic-styled American motorcycles to supporters of the museum for the past 10 years.

This year, those who make a small donation to the Museum will have a chance to win a 2012 Indian Chief Classic, which was donated by the new Indian Motorcycle Company.  The bike is serial number 24 of a special run of 110 machines commemorating 110 years since Indian went into full production in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The prize bike is one of the first off the new assembly line in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Underneath the chrome and Indian Red sheet metal is a 105-cubic-inch PowerPlus V-twin, a 6-speed transmission, electronic ignition and digital fuel injection. Wheels are chrome with stainless spokes and the solo saddle is real leather.

The National Motorcycle Museum’s annual motorcycle giveaway is an important part of its fundraising program. By making a $5 donation for a chance to win (or six chances for $25), donors also help support the museum.
