Support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and meet Rocker J. Geils, Luthier Jol Dantzig and Award-Winning Author of Rockin’ Garages Tom Cotter at Music Icon Billy Joel’s 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay, New York, on Saturday, November 10, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 192-page hardcover book ROCKIN GARAGES: Collecting, Racing & Riding with Rock’s Great Gearheads ($35) showcases top performers, their cars and motorcycles, and their garages. Authors Tom Cotter and Ken Gross profile each musician, revealing the story behind their moto-lust and what drives their car collecting. Each profile is complemented by Michael Alan Ross’ top-notch photography. Rockin’ Garages puts you behind the wheel with some of your favorite musicians.

During the book launch at 20th Century Cycles (101 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York), a percentage of proceeds will benefit Harry Chapin’s Long Island Cares Food Bank. Author Tom Cotter will donate $5 from the sale of each book and 20th Century Cycles will donate $5 from every t-shirt and hat sold in the month of November.
