And of course, if you want to elevate your brand loyalty to the next level, you become a stock holder in the company that manufacturers your favorite bike.

I may have sounded harsh in my words on Victory's new Cross Country, but only meant to say that I expected more from an original design. I won't condemn other brands or belittle anyone owning them, and apologize if it came across that way. Everyone needs some confirmation over an expensive puchase they just made, and want to know they spent their money wisely.
Sometimes we say things that will get a reaction that may not be very kind, but do so just for fun. Heck, I remember the 50 year brand war between H-D and Indian that had riders hating each other. We can all laugh at our mistakes now that the dust has settled, but it was very intense back then. Remember the Edsel?

I remember a long time ago , a Harley-riding mechanic helped me synchronize the carbs on my GPz. We swapped bikes while he was test riding mine. What a hoot! I guess I am really just a motorcycle fan period. I have ridden so many and every one had its own personality. I actually built my first mini-bike and was blistering the local kids on their Honda trail 50's and 70's. I guess I am lucky that throwing a leg over just about any thing will make me grin from ear to ear. As a kid...if it had handlebars and a motor I was on it and in heaven. I promise you guys that I would have a Leno-like collection if the checkbook and ole' lady would allow it. When I visited the Barber Motorsports museum, I saw every bike I had ever ridden or wanted to ride in my entire life. I would buy one each if I could! Whether we will admit it or not, we are brothers....one in the same with the same passion that unites us. Now say Amen and pass the collection plate!

I too, started on a little Honda, Jazzman. I thought those 90cc's were pretty terrific until I saw the Honda 160. And on and on.... Guess we all had to start somewhere, and where we are today is the highpoint in a long line of highs. I salute any and all riders who maintain that passion.
P.S. You're are never supposed to touch those (4) carbs Jazzman, unless you want to p!~~@@$ the carb gods.

I wave at the people riding little scooters, but they never wave back. I guess they don't consider themselves part of the group.

...ahhh..." the wave"....usually only see from one hawg to another...
...the high " wave"....the low " wave"....the finger " wave"....
...weird that H-D riders feel a need to wave to each other...
I've noticed this on the water here in Florida..on the InterCoastal Waterway....boaters pass each and feel obligated to " wave" to each other...people who would normally never give you the time of the day..all of a sudden they're " waving" at you...
I never initiate a " wave"...I usually wait for the other guy to " wave"....then I'll " wave" back....guess I'm weird that way.. :-)
