If we are talking Victory copying HD I'm glad they improved on the engine and added some HP like about 20 but why did they have to make the tranny so clunky just like Harley?

Personally, I prefer Harley-Davidson over every other brand out there.

If you have to ask me why - you wouldn't understand my answer.

I'll bet a hundred bucks you have a T-shirt that says the same thing. How original.

You can only make a V-twin so many ways but HD riders always think there's is the best and everything else is a copy. I guess since you've paid more than anybody else for an inferior product it gives you a reason for snob appeal.

You think Sony accuses Samsung of copying the shape of their TV's?

Shoot me an e-mail and I'll tell ya where to sent the $100.00.

I do NOT have a t-shirt that says that.

and all these years I thought the "T" shirt saying was "if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand"

Looks like an easy C note.

You don't stay in business, let alone dominate the industry for 106 years by building inferior products. I suppose your still sore 30 years after Norton folded, because you think they were superior machines? HAH!

So Mr. Norton54, if you don't understand the concept of "original" and "copy", maybe you should invest in a dictionary.

Lighten up on the guy, Alex.
After he sends me my $100.00, he probably won't have enough left (after all his Norton repairs) to invest in a dictionary.

I don't think you're gonna see that $100, Hawg Man. He's the kind that throws a cheap-shot, then runs and hides.

I'm so sure I'll never see the $100.00, that I'm willing to bet him $100.00 that I'll never see it.

I hear ya - kinda like a cockroach that runs when it sees the light.
Assuming, of course, that the light is seen.

I'd like to hear some definitions of the word "best". By what standard(s) would you judge a particular motorcycle to be the best? People always say that HD riders think their brand is the best; how do they arrive at that conclusion?

When a Harley guy tells you, "there are lots of motorcycles, but there's only one bike," isn't he telling you he thinks Harleys are best?

Or when you tell a buddy (who owns a Harley) you bought a Triumph and he says, "oh, you didn't buy a real bike then?"

Simple fact is Harley has some of the most arrogant and condescending owners out there. Most of the time they will claim to be joking, but the things they say can be really rude.

I personally don't care what people own. I currently have a Triumph and a Harley. The Triumph is my fun bike, while the Harley is used for straight roads. This combination works for me, so they are the "best" bikes for me right this minute.

Definition of Best = Number one.....No Competition.....Best value for Dollar....Resale Value....Owner Satisfaction....Brand Loyalty....Tinkerer's delight....Heritage...Looks....Sound.....Feel.....

Y'know...when I was a kid...I had a 49cc Honda....damn...I loved dat thang :-)

since then I've owned several brands....I had a Bonneville for a while when I was 19-20....at that time...I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I rolled dat machine out of the dealers showroom....

Feel the same way about my Hawg....
