In the latest issue, Joe Minton talked about using fiberglass cloth as packing material. I have a loose packing material in my muffler and it has gotten louder over the last 12 months. I would like to find a source for cloth suitable to use for packing material. Joe, are you out there?

Thanks,

Go to ebay and type in muffler packing motorcycle. The sites selling that product will come up and display their goods. You can then see the brands they are selling and google them to see which particular one will work for you.

You might want to ask at Bike or Boat shops too. It may be hard to find but if all fails you may have to replace the baffles. On my first header installation (30 years ago) I thought it was just a packing material used in shipping and I ripped it all off before realizing just at the last moment it was part of the baffle, anyway I had the loudest Kawasaki 650 with a Kerker pipe in all of Maryland. I seem to remember my 20 year old girlfriend's father loved it.
