...I'm thinking of putting one of dem hypercharger air-cleaners on mah bike....y'know the one.....looks like a big scoop on the side of the engine with the double-butterfly flaps in it.....that open and close with throttle movement...

...not sure that it will add any more performance than the SE package I already have on mah bike...but I think it looks cool....

...I have the Mikuni HRS 42 carb on my bike....and it seems like I need some kind of connector kit to make the hypercharger fit properly...I have researched this endlessly, but the various catelogs are kinda murky on the details...

...anyone have such a device on their bike ??

I used to have one on my old Sportster. The stock carb didn't need an adapter, but it seemed that about everything else did. Some people don't like 'em, call 'em hyperchokers and all sorts of cute things. I liked mine, and didn't notice anything bad about it. They make a whole Hypercharger system. Or at least they did. It was two air cleaners, and a kinda ram air set up.

...I've researched this some more...it's definitely a love/hate affair with them...I've come to the conclusion, they are probably more show than go.....

...but that ugly ham can air filter on my bike has got to go.....I think the Harley styling dept. got everything right....except that ac cover....which looks like schit....
