Last Sept had a nephew stop at a pub for a beer and show off his new ride.
( 2 and a half hrs later )Leaving the pub he pulled out in front of a van. We
just had a memorial ride this past Saturday for him. Use to tell him "you have to
be 110% when you ride".
He would say "I can handle it Unk". I guess he can. Have Fun and RIDE SAFE.

A local bar here sponsored a bike night and had free beer for anyone riding a motorcycle. I never did understand that.

That is sad. My condolenses to the boys family.
Hopefully some lesson can be learned from the loss, and other riders will think twice before they have that drink and ride.

I am new too biking just having passed my Riders Edge class, so I am qualified to ride in a parking lot at 15 mph. Anyway, I could never understand the "Biker Bar" thing. There are no "Car Bars" so why Biker Bars? Bikes have saftey issue when you are sober I could not imagine adding a few beers to that. Just my thoughts.
