The other day one of my co-workers and i were talking about motorcycles. He being the lazy person he is said "I won't ride one untill they make one that is automatic" I said well get your license to ride buddy cuz they do make one that is fully automatic. It's called a Ridley. With this we set out to find out where to find one of these bikes. Well the web sight is great and the bike sounds great. I have but one concern, are they as great as they advertise?
They look good and the performance as stated by the reps is as good as a Harley Davidson, but I like reviews that are not paid for by the manufacturer.....
Any one out there know anything about this scoot. If so share your knowledge, good or bad. Hawgman341 out........

What is a Ridley? I googled it and the only bikes were bicycles of the pedal variety made in Belgium europe. Is it made in the US?
What about a Suzuki burgman or that new Honda DN01 thats a cross between a cruiser and a scooter, though it is a lot of cash for what it is.
Maybe ask rider magazine to do article on Ridleys?
Any one solve the "Riddle"
Mark.

Have seen one at the IMS, but don't know anything more. Kind of a strange looking outfit.

I have a Honda 750a sitting in the garage, 2 spd automatic, one of these days I will get it running.

I like the looks of the Ridley but hate the idea of an automatic. There are a few riding around town, but I've never caught up to the owner to see what they think. Next time I see one, I'll do my best to get a review from a first hand owner.

If you go to the website you can hear what it sounds like and get a onesided review. Since everyone has an oppinion and i would like one from several persons. Some people can't handle the complex changing of gears, so i'm asking for those folks, since i don't want to buy one to experience it. Drop me a line if ya know anything about it.... hawgman over.

I bet they are nice to have in city driving and parades. I am thinking that my
wife would like to ride the Ridley motorcycle. It is not a bad looking bike. When we get the chance we are going to try one.

I owned a 2005 Ridley Autoglide Limited Edition for a year. Beautiful bike. It may have been a lemon, but it was nothing but trouble starting at 1000 odometer miles. I decided to trade it in on a bike that was easier to maintain but could not find a dealer who would trade. Finally sold it at 3600 miles for $11,000 after purchasing it for $17,999. That said, the Ridley company was very supportive during my ownership, and I wish them well. Since I have no problem with shifting I will probably purchase a metric cruiser.
