Looking it increase visibility of 2005 HD FLSTNI Softtail Deluxe. Recently lost a member of our chapter to a 4 wheel driver that claims to have not seen him. Looking at purchasing Kissan tailblazer 20W-D for the tail light and the Kissan P115W-S pathblazer headlight modulator. Would appreciate any advice or thoughts regarding these or other options to increase visability.

I don't know about the particular model that you are checking into, but I believe modulators work. The eye is drawn to "movement" so a pulsing light will draw more attention that a steady one.

I've also noticed the taillights that flash are much more visible, so I think you've made a good choice.

That's what every driver who ever ran over a motorcycle said. Anything that helps is good. They will still say they never saw you.

When I got t-boned by a tractor trailer the driver said in court that I was speeding, on the wrong side of the double yellow, passing a blue Chevy without my headlight on (it was still light out). I asked why did he pull out from the stop sign? In court, under oath, in front of the judge and lawyer he replied "I didn't see you." The judge told his attorney that he was disregarding his clients testimony and that he should remind his client of the penalties of perjury. Since none of the stuff he said I was doing ever happened I can only believe his answer that he didn't see me.

Most of the people who don't see you never look. Since I have to have the headlights on during the day I switch them to high beam. A little bit more noticeable. I would rather have my brake light go from on to off than lit to brighter but the powers that be have decided for us. I'll have to check those lights out.

Crystal River,

This company has a wide selection of lights to increase your visibility. I've bought a number of items from them and the their service has been great so far...

Look in the back of any of the M/C magazines, multiple companies have stuff to help. I used an LED high mount lamp from JC Whitney on the rear of my RK. For the front, try to set up the 'triangle of safety' by using a set up that runs the driving lights at the same time your head light is on. HD's factory setting turns off the driving lights when you switch on the hi beam, so you will want to wire around that switch. I also replace the headlamp bulb with one of the brighter Halogens, just don't overload the wiring.

Thanks for the heads up on the web site, I was looking for something to modulate the tail light bulb without getting into a bunch of rewiring. They had a plug in bulb with everything built into the bulb body, should be here next week.
