My 2007 Ultra which was bumped to a 103 ran very hot last year and I'm thinking about trying to do something to help with that situation.
Cams, air filter and mufflers can with the 103 kit. I also have the oil temp gage in the faring and it was reading almost 300 degrees, which they tell me is measured on the cold side of the oil filter.

So I'm trying to see what will give me the most for the bucks, a fuel management system, so the engine is not running so lean or and oil cooler. The bike is currently getting about 40MPG and I do not want to kill that. It also has 10,000 miles on it.

Any thoughts?

With out a doubt. Get the oil cooler. My experience with the Power Commander did not lower the heat. On my '07 Ultra, I'm running a Power Commander, Stage 1 Air Cleaner and Vance & Hines True Dual header pipes attached to my stock mufflers along with a oil cooler. I'm pretty happy with that setup but my fuel mileage is only 32 mpg.

I used the Harley oil cooler on my 07 Heritage. The oil temps went down 10-20 degrees. I did not use the H-D cover thought it would block air flow. I have two friends have bought 08s and one had the cooler installed before delivery. The other got the cooler at the 1,000 mile service. It was well worth the $79.00 in my book. The install took less than a hour in the driveway.

Have you considered having your pipes ceramic coated? Places like Jet Coat do the work ... painted inside and out. Some tests show a 300 to 500 reduction in surface temps. Can help with exhaust scavenging and felt heat. Just a thought.
