It is a brotherhood thing. No matter what your occupation, race, or make of machine, we are all the same. A common ground of similar interest. I do the lowered two fingered peace salute, or the four fingers off the grips when I have little time to react. In GA, we all wave at everyone else pretty much.

I WAVE TO "ALL" TWO WHEELED ACTION. I THINK IF SOMEONES GOT ENOUGH GROIN POWER TO GET ON TWO WHEELS AND RIDE IN THIS CRAZY WORLD OF "DON'T CARE CAGERS" THEN HELL YEH I'M GOING TO WAVE. I PREFER THE LOW DOWN TWO FINGER WAVE, OR THE LOW DOWN ALL FINGER WAVE. I DON'T CARE IF THEY WAVE BACK, CUZ I DID MY PART AND SHOWED MY SUPPORT THE OTHER RIDER. ( I DON'T LIKE THE UP HIGH WAVE, IT KINDA LOOKS GAYISH ). WAVE ON MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ..... HAWGMAN OUT../...

I couldn't see the pics you mentioned.
Am I doing something wrong or were they not there?
BTW, How do you like the 06 V* Classic? I have a 00' and she is a real honey. I think those V* Classics are one of the best looking rides on the road! The price is great too!

I nik-named her "Victoria".... "Vicki" for short.....I thing my wife is a little jealous.

Man, I'm going on 30k and just replaced my front tire and gettin' ready replace my rear tire for the second time. I love my v-star. I just wish I'ld gone with the larger 1100 and fixed it up the same way I did this one. Who thinks this machine would benefit from a 6th gear? Man when I'm cruzin' at 75mph and the engine is humming I wish I had that 6th gear to let it rumble instead of hummmmmm..... By the way check my profile for the pix... A hint to those who don't like to pay the stealer for doing work on your scooter. I take the front and back wheels off when it's time to change and balance my tires and it costs me half the labor price. ( I don't have a tire balancer yet ). Ride on ya'all and stay safe. " watch that guy on the phone making a left turn in your lane "!!!!!... Adios..

Hey Hawg,

I caught your pics and she is a beauty! I know what you mean about needing a sixth gear. That would be awesome! Maybe if enough people request it Yamaha will come through! I'm trying to post a pic of my ride but can't get it down below 100kb. How did you do that? I have Picassa software and still trying to downsize the pic. Anyway, take care of that beauty and Ride Safely.

I guess I'm just lucky, the time I put them on they went straight from my daughters digital camera straight into the sight. Call it dumb techi luck I guess. I have to talk to hardkrome about those pipes, cuz they are starting to get rust spots on them. My old OEM parts hang on my fence in all kinds of weather and still don't have any rust.... I hope they'll replace them because I spent alot of money on them and also the retuning. I'll get back to that later .... Except for the wind it's a great day to ride... vrooooaamaamm. later on....Hawgman out.

Hey Hawgman,
That's a pretty bike. Love the pipes.
You might take a look at baker trannys. I know they make a six speed with overdrive, just not sure if it is applicable to your bike.

I wave almost all the time, including scooters on back roads. I have not adopted the new California practice of two fingers down that originated with the sport bike riders, now adopted by the cruiser riders. My habit is to give a hearty "thumbs up," because it conveys how I am feeling about seeing another rider.
