I'm going to take a guess and guess that you had a dealership install the stage one and pipes. This means they installed the SERT and flashed it with there HD stage one program. Others who have had this done are also complaining of low gas mileage. My guess would be that some, but not all dealers are loading an incorrect program. The technician may think he has the correct program when indeed it has been rescinded. Some dealers may not be on the ball with there SERT programs.
With that being said your Heritage should be getting about 35 mpg. I've read where others have stated mpg's in the 40's. I myself cannot see how this is possible when my 1100cc Honda was getting 44 mpg. How can a nearly 1600cc v-twin get that kind of mileage?

I have an 07 FLTRI, completely stock. I am getting around 45-47 mpg. I was thinking of installing some pipes and a stage one breather kit, but I was concerned that this would affect my mpg. Maybe something was mis mapped...I'd have the dealer re-check.

By the way, none of the Stage upgrades come with a SERT. You have to buy the SERT seperatly. That's an extra $5-600 for the SERT, to install, and tune.
