Planning on doing the Bike trader tour this year. Im not sure whats involved exactly, but I know theres lots of riding involved.
Since my job keeps me prety busy I may not be going cross country too often, but maybe a few major trips throughout the ride season. Im assuming the tour will take me out of the NY, NJ, CT area.
I am also booked for Americade again this year. Prety excited about that.
Im looking forward to demoing the GL1800, the KAwi Versys and mybe a sport bike.
I have always liked the way the CBR looked, but who knows.
They also have new tours at Americade i will be joining as well.

My husband and I plan to ride to Tennessee from Michigan. We are checking out the Clarksville area where we think we may want to move in the future. He rides a Harley Ultra Classic and i ride a 650 Vstar.

Sewgirl: To get to Clarksville--you gotta come through Paducah. Holler at us on the board and we'll buy you coffee.

It was looking like we were headed for the Beartooth in Wyoming-Montana this year again but then various guys came up with other events to plan around. Now it looks like we'll be staying mostly in Colorado, with some dips down into New Mexico. This is actually a trip I've been promoting for a while but no one was interested. Now they seem to have changed their minds. I want to spend a few days in certain spots and do some day rides, rather than pack up and load up every day.

I know a lot of you are saying "Oh how sad, you have to ride in Colorado." True, life is hard.

This years ride is a retirement trip. Plan on roughly 3 months on the road with a 1 week break in the middle. Starting in eary August, riding from South Florida, heading up to the Great Lakes to circle Lake Surerior then over to the Black Hills where we'll stay in Deadwood, SD for a couple days then over to Cody, WY for a couple days. Have ridden to both areas but always had to blow through due to lack of time. Heading to the Canadian Rockies (love Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Columbia Icefields) then down to Washington to tour N.Cascades Natl. Park, Olympic and the coast. Down the OR coast and Northern CA, down to Arizona (never been to Tombstone) and back up to Oklahoma to visit friends and my old stomping grounds (lived there for 4 years. Actually very nice riding areas. No traffic) Back to S. Fla. for a week or so to do the Annual Key West Poker Run in mid. Sept. and rest up at home for a few days. Back North for the Autumn colors. Going to tour Indiana/Ohio then to upstate NY and New England. Will visit friends in Stowe, VT then up to see friends in Quebec then, weather permitting, tour the Gaspe Peninsula, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. (Love Newfoundland. Don't miss being Screeched in as an honorary Newfie on George Street in St. Johns. Talk about a party) Back down thru Maine and down the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. Should be late October and probably missed Biketoberfest in Daytona but in the process of retiring to the area and will be there alot. See you on the road!

I read that part of the Blue Ridge Parkway will be closed this summer.
