Around 15 below zero on a on/off road 350cc. Icy roads are sticky at that temp. Sowmobile suit is best. Get above 20 deg. and it can get slick as snot on a brass doorknob.
Greatness is not in where we stand, but in what direction we are moving.

Geoforce6,
How have you been? I guess you are further north than I am here in CT. so you ride in this weather? It's too cold for me. The predicted weather for CT is going to be in the upper 40's. I guess I'll just wait till March.
Happy New Year!

02 VTX with 77000+. I sold my 06 ZX14 with just over 10K. Live in central California and ride every day with the exception of below 35 degree weather. I commute on mountain roads which get ice and the occasional snow. I have my sons ZX10 which I will be shipping off to my son in the Air Force in England soon but still get to play with it.

Hey Vstar-Guy,
"What's the coldest temp. you guys ever rode in?"
15 below wasn't in Seattle where I preside now. That was Northern Idaho where the "Arctic Blast" is the norm. Deep cold winters and blazing hot summers. No wonder after 20 years of that I finally moved to Seattle, eh? And no, I don't do that anymore. Frostbite has a way of coming back at you many years later, lol.
Happy New Year to you too as well as everyone else!

Hey Geoforce6!
I don't recall what the coldest temp I ever rode in. I know it wasn't as cold as what you rode in! I would guess around 32 degrees. I know at 30 deg. going 50 mph the temp will feel like 12 deg. I wouldn't enjoy that. Last year I remember seeing a guy on a Beemer doing 50-55 mph and the temp was 12 deg! That puts him around -17 deg. No way for me!
This guy had all the right gear one could possibly have on. Still...No thanks... I'll wait for spring.
Have a great year and Ride Safely!
