Gack, 41 yrs. First bike was a Honda 150 Benly (Dream) with a two tone windscreen. Second was a Honda Super 90. Third was a brand new Honda CL 450, fourth was a trashed CB 350, nothing to lose, so I started working on it, bored out, punched mufflers, 10,500 rpm before it started to cut out, then a long line of Harleys and Kawasakis, and one BMW. Really looking at the Moto Guzzi Norge now, local dealer has one for test rides, just requires a dry day, like that is going to happen around here.

Been licensed since '72, rode a 350 Honda, owned a 450 Honda then a bunch of different ones including a AMF Harley Sportster over the next couple of decades. Had my '95 Sportster until '06 and currently ride an '05 Road King Custom. Prior to getting my license I used to ride mini bikes in the woods and a bicycle that my friend and I put a lawn mower engine on (a short lived mod that had well, um, some engineering shortfalls). 35 years, geez, I'm a noob compared to you guys.

Learned to ride in 1963 on a friend's 305 Honda Dream.
Bought my first bike used from a classified ad - it was a '67 450 Honda.
I rode it home the day I bought it and that was the LAST time I could ever get it to run.
Traded it in on a................
Brand new 1974 Yamaha XS650.
Sold that to buy a.............
Brand new 1978 Harley-Davidson Superglide.
Sold it last September to buy a..................
Used (4,000 miles) '05 H-D Road King Classic.
So, to answer your original question:
44 YEARS.

1964 within one week after getting my driver's license I bought my first motorcycle, a new, red, Honda CB160.. I've ridden motorcyles longer than I've ridden.... Oh you know!
And they've treated me a da*n sight better too...

Hey, I resemble that!! And I refuse to join AARP until I absolutely don't have a choice.
