You and I know that, but there's not that many real riders out there so they don't know. Heck the guy that finally bought the bike came over to look at it, so I told him to sit down and fire it up (he had a shoulder injury and couldn't test ride it), so he sat down on a bike he new was for sale for over a year and I have a new bike so you could figure that the sale bike was not getting ridden that much, anyway he starts it and goes right to 3/4 throttle and holds it there for 45 seconds, if it had been an Evo he would have blown the seals. I wouldn't have done that to a cold motor on a bike I was going to buy.

Most of us agree that once you get (what some think) is high mileage, people are less likely to buy it. Would you buy a used bike w/20,000 miles when ther are others like it w/9,000? Neither would I. My 2002FLHT, bought new has 65,000 miles on it. I know I'll never be able to sell it, but that's ok. I love it, and I'll rebuild engine when it needs it. It is becomming a buyers market lately.

I had a guy come look at the bike, only to leave and buy an 03 with more chrome and extras. I called him to let him know I was lowering the price and he told me he bought the 03, and then said "I wish I had of bought yours, after I got it home and cleaned up it had a lot more rust and defects that I didn't notice before" well it's gone now and I miss it, but it's nice having an extra $355 in my pocket every month.
