80 here right now.
I won't be this warm tomorrow, though.
Flying to Milwaukee in the morning, doing the H-D Museum and flying back home in the evening.

42 degrees this am, plugged in with Gerbings vest and gloves. Our seasonal passes are closing, due to snow, and 3 ski areas are scheduled to open this week.

Any idea how much it costs to run central air conditioning all year long?
In Maryland my electric bill is about $185 a month for cool air in the summer, but the heat is propane and is about $400 a month or more.
That was one of my worst moves ever, my oil furnace died so I switched to propane because it was only .99 a gallon. I had it for one fill up at that price, now after a couple of years it's 2.69 a gallon. The bill for my 500 gallon tank is around $1,200. and it gets filled a couple of times each winter.

Air Conditioning. What's that? Our Northwest air is naturally conditioned. Sorry to hear that you southernly inclined fellow riders need to actually pay for cooler air is a foreign concept here. We're always cool. To the point of possible snowflakes tomorrow.
Sorry, 1Big'n
but my electric plus natural gas heat per month runs about $5 a day. Max. In the winter.

propane and electric heat are the 2 highest forms of heat cost wise. Gas doesnt need cleaning as much as Oil, but if you dont have it looked at once in a while(like some commercials say)then thats just asking for death.
My philosiphy on oil was always Oil you clean up, gas you blow up.
And on Avg. Nat gas and Oil will always average out, because both costs go up and down yearly. Albeit, oil has many more swings, but goes lower per gallon/therm.
Living in NH, i would never have given up my oil burner. Here in Texas though, i wish we had a heat pump, but the gas heats not real expensive, and you dont use much. The ac is also a high efficency one so thats good.
And dont even get me started on the differences of Oil vs any gas when it comes to Co deaths.
