I meant to say try a different fuse in the ECM slot. also check your fuses on the left side under side cover. There is a picture of a fuse on page 230. looking at the fuse the (S looking center) will be melted if bad. Sometimes fuses can look good and still be bad. Hope I'm helping you.

I am not sure if this will help or not, but there is a way to run a diagnostic. Here is how and the codes: Hippo's Trouble Codes

There is a maxi fuse on the left side of the bike under the cover. Its a big mutha. Take a peek at that one while you're at it. What color are the wires going to the plug you hooked into? I have the wiring diagram and can look it up.

I changed the fuses on the right side (15's) and did the diagnostic that Red sent. The fuse change didn't fix it.
The diagnostic brought back the following codes:
U1301 - Serial Data Open/High EFI, Serial Data open/high Instruments, Serial data open/high TSM/TSSM
U1300 - serial data low EFI, serial data instruments, serial data low TSM/TSSM
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data EFI, Loss of TSM/TSSM serial data instruments
It also gave me some parts numbers:
68922-00C Security system modular (about $200)
67096-04 Speddometer - SPEEDO, 5", CALI, SILVER/STAINLESS, MPH (about $250)
Not sure those parts make sense, the kek ob still works like it should. Maybe I need new data downloads?

Well, I bought a tester and I'm no expert but when I touched it to the fuse in slot 3 for ECM it lights up. When I touch it to the fuse in slot 2 for the fuel pump, no light. Do I replace the whole fuse box?

Near as I can figure gray is to the ignition circuit via the run/stop switch and hooks into the data link connector and the TSM/TSSM module. Looks like the gray is the power source in the ignition circuit. There is a 15 amp fuse associated with that circuit. If its light green with red that comes out of the data link connector to the ALDL & flash pin connector (whatever that is). If it is green with red then that goes to the cruise control from the speedo (or vice versa). If you don't have cruise control that may explain why that plug was open. Black is ground. The ignition fuse is under the left side cover two below the brake light relay (the only relay with 2 fuses below it). It should be blue and hopefully blown. Hope that gets you on the road.
