All I can tell you is that sometime in the past it was posted that the 150/80 is the widest rear tire you can run without modification, and that's what I put on (Metzler) my 05 after the stock tire was impaled by a cotter pin after about 5,000 miles.

Happy days are here again. My Son is graduating tomorrow 3 May 2008 from UAB with an electrical engineering degree. I can't wait for him to get a job. Just kidding about the job. I am so proud of him.

Congrats, Double H! That's an awesome accomplishment. Send him a thumbs up from the whole FOTK group!

Just spent the night making fairing mounts out 1-1/4" flat iron for my friend's '80 BMW GS. It's the first scoot wrenching of any kind I've done in over a year. Funny how something like that just makes you feel alive...

Kids grow up fast don't they? Congratulations to you and your son. I know you
are as proud of him as I am of my son. Wait until you have grandchildren.

Greenman, I pass on the thumbs up. I know what you mean about the wrenching. I really had not done any to my bike until I ran across this forum. I've done a lot since joining the group. It gives me great pleasure knowing I'm the one who did the work. I've worked on Helicopters and flew helicopters for many years so the work wasn't the problem it was just believing I could do it again.

Thanks Kapap. Matter of fact I'll know about grand kids come Nov. My son and daughter in law are expecting their first child in Nov. I've already bought several Harley items.
