..ditto that....I'm slightly north of Miami...so summer starts on Jan 10th...and ends on Dec 15th...in between that we have one day of spring and maybe two days of fall...and some crappy weather that comes in from Denver....which we try to dodge by partying inside....

..I spent one year in Detroit...where I discovered that there were two seasons...
...season one runs from around Aug to the following June, where the sun never shines, everything is bleak and grey, cold and miserable and everyone gets stir crazy and start shooting each other...I lived near 8 Mile and Woodward...in the one year I was there, there must have been 10 murders on my street, probably 8 houses were torched down, car tires were constantly slashed and the guy across the street used to run down the street nekked waving a sword......I blame all this on crappy weather.....
...season two is only differentiated by replacing the lack of sun with a veil of smog, some trees actually try briefly to bloom, and people generally shoot each other less, but not much less.
...during this all time, nobody talks to each other....I blame all this on crappy weather....

Detroit has its problems for sure, but there many good things about it as well. People think of Michigan and the only thing that comes to mind is Detroit. Its a big, beautiful state, and not too much of it is like Detroit and Flint. That's ok though, it will make buying my slice of heaven cheaper when I get around to it.

Ya know, you guys from up north really get to me with all your carping and whining about the winter and cold weather.
You don't know how good you have it.

How would you like to have to cut grass and maintain an inground pool 12 months out of the year?
Any idea how much it costs to run central air conditioning all year long?

While your Scoot gets to sit and rest for a couple months, I'm down here wearing out tires, doing oil changes, etc.
I have a beautiful leather jacket I don't even get to wear......... $200.00+ - and it just hangs in the closet.

Just kidding folks.
I'm originally from western Pennsylvania, so I feel your pain.

Hope it's a warm and short winter for all of you and you're back in the saddle again real soon.

"$15,000, a new leather jacket, and 15 miles under your butt does NOT make you a biker."

I'm not bashing Mich...it is a pretty state...I have a sister lives up in Muskegon.....fall is gorgeous...
but....Detroit sucks with a capital S !!!

Hawg man is right....it's friggin' hard work keeping my scoot polished all year round...never mind my pool....but I should'nt complain...there's a gadget in the pool does most of my cleaning for me....all I gotta do is run by the pool store once in a while to buy the chloring tabs...on my bike off course...he heh e
