Wish you could have known this old biker that told me a dirty bike shows that
it is ridden. Cleaning it cut into his riding time. Ask me one time to go to
breakfast. said OK. Never stopped for breakfast until we were in Sanford Maine.
I live in Johnsburg N.Y. Now I know why he asked if my gas tank was full before
we left. Never got to ride with him again. A 17 year old girl talking on a cell
cell phone run a stop sign and he hit her. It is against the law in N.Y. to use
a hand held cell phone while you are driving. You still see people talking on
them all the time. I keep my bike clean. Of coarse I have not rode much this
year.

Thanks Gringo.

I have a vacation topic too:
Has anyone taken their laptop on a long ride and put it in the saddle bags? Do you think all the heat from the pipes could hurt a laptop? I'm thinking like a 5 to 8 hour run before stopping for the day. (Potty breaks throughout the day of course).

Hey Guys, I am still running my 10 inch apes, and was thinking about going to wild1 14 inch or 16 inch apes? What do you guys think? Are they comfy?

I'm running wild one 12 in apes. They are great. I'm 5'11 and tall in the saddle and they are about shoulder height. I sort of wish I had gone with the 14" though. 16's might be a little too crazy.

Mine are 16, and I love 'em. I am 6 foot tall.

I am embarking on a 1200 mile trip tomorrow morning. I will follow my son, he in his Prelude, and me on the RKC. I will travel up I-25 from Denver to Cheyenne, then over to US-85 up to Sundance, Wyoming. We will take a small state road past Devil's Tower and through Hulett, Wyo into Alzada, Montana. then Mt Hiway 323 to Ekalaka, most of this is dirt although they have been paving it so we will see. Then US-7 into Baker. I will turn around and ride back the next day. I will come back through the Black Hills. This should be a nice getaway for me, and a nice ride. I will tell ya all about it later this week.

Just watch the roads where the pavement ends. When my wife and I was out there
we were running about 60 on a nice straight paved back road next thing we knew
we were on a loose gravel road. Thought we were going down. Had my hands full for a minute. My wife squeezed me so hard thought she broke my ribs. There where no warning signs that the pavement ended. Sure is beautiful out there. Have fun and ride safe.
