RE: I need a new bike.....

The Victory's a better bike anyway, stronger engine out of the box, better frame, handles better. And with those additional features, it seems like a no-brainer.
And as far as fellowship is concerned, people that only want to fellowship with HD riders aren't people I'm interested in anyway. There's many of us that form their fellowships with people who RIDE, not just those who are slaves to a brand name. You'd be welcome in my group no matter what you're riding, as long as you're on two (or three) wheels. I like four-wheelers too, mind you, that's just a different group.
Greenman.
Thanks yeah your right. The more I hash it over the more I realize I'm gonna go with the Victory Cross Country and all the options are already done and dont have to be added. More power, more comfort, less dollars, less wrenching and MORE RIDING!!
I just went to York Pa last week to HD and it was a Saturday the plant and tour was closed (I knew that) but the gift shop and everything was shut down tight. You could walk in the front door and use the bathroom and talk to this very nice older lady. And we all couldn't figure out the reasoning behind closing the gift shop on a Saturday / Sunday when the "working world" can come in and shop. Hell its only 2 or 3 people to work the place. In the 20 min while I was there 5 different bunches of people that showed up looking to poke around and shop. How much business did they loose that day? What a mistake! Dont Bite the hand that Feeds ya HD!

RE: I need a new bike.....

Hi All,
I'm very torn between the HD Street Glide and the Victory Xcountry. I will be in the market come spring time and hopefully I'll be able to find a Xcountry to at least sit on. It will be my first Large CC bike and I rented a SG for a week and I just seemed cramped in the legs, kind of like a T-Rex dinosaur's little arms. Then when I put a passenger on the back her feet were slammed into my calves when I had to maneuver by foot in a parking space or whatever. But I REALLY love the whole HD Stigma and fellowship. But I don't want to have to wrench on it and spend another $1000 just to make it comfortable by moving the floorboards forward some how and adding an ipod interface. Then the Ipod interface in the Xcountry's Bags are SWEET charges and shows up on the dashboard! And the digital dash of it is outstanding. Then it has more power than the HD and you can get a 100K warranty on it too!!! I'm in such a pickle. I'm gonna spend $20,000.00 on a bike and cant figure out which one! I'm SO TORN!
