RE: Road trip to Sturgis...

Right on, ecjazz...as though there's some rulebook that determines what you should and shouldn't wear. The day my daughter was born was the day my shorty got hung up for good and the fullface went on. I'm never giving up riding, but I owe it to her to try a little harder to stick around while she's growing up. And this makes me any less of a rider? I don't think so...

RE: Road trip to Sturgis...

...can a boot save yer life when you come off the bike at 80 mph...
Nope it can't, but if you live through an 80 mph drop, eventually you're going to need your legs again, and a good pair of boots can save the feet and ankles at that speed...
Cheers to Matlock! One of the things I've never understood is how we express our individuality by all wearing the same uniform. I say ride what the f*ck you want, wear what the f*ck you want, be who the f*ck you want to be...

RE: Evo / Twin Cam

This a no brainer, put gear drive cams into a TC to fix its one weakness and you've got the clear winner...

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Floridians, a serious question: is there any part of Fla. that isn't 99.9% humidity all the time? That's the thing that keeps me from being interested in the place.

RE: Knees

Hey windchaser,
The Fellowship of the Kings started out right here in the Rider forums, American V-Twin Forum, based on the topic "Anybody like the new Road King Custom?" Six years and 12,857 posts later, it's by far the longest thread in Rider history. The people who frequent the thread have formed a loose confederation based on themes of honesty, integrity and brotherhood. Our motto is, "It's the People, Not the Iron". We started out as all HD Road King Custom riders, but have since expanded to anyone or any scoot, so long as you agree with our values. C'mon over to that thread and introduce yourself! You'll find you're welcome. It's a great bunch of people.
