RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

Floridians, a serious question: is there any part of Fla. that isn't 99.9% humidity all the time? That's the thing that keeps me from being interested in the place. Hawg Man has it very much correct. July, Aug and Sept are very high humidity months - no doubt. The answer to that is, of course, air conditioning and riding without a windshield. ;) The rest of the year it is fine, and particularly from November through April, when temps are in the 70s and lo 80s and humiditiy is down to very dry levels. By comparison, when I lived in Noo Yawk City, (for 48 years) it was cold and damp in the winter and hot and damp in the summer! I have a brother who lives in Phoenix, AZ who always tells me about the dry heat. I remind him that I have dry heat in my house - in the oven. Geeze.

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

We have what are commonly called "Seasons." They are actually differentiated from each other by changes in climate. Winter is cold and we get snow. Spring is warming up, plants come out of their dormant stage and bloom. Summer is hot, sometimes we get rain. Fall is like the opposite of Spring. It's cooling down and the plants go into their domant stage. (Now that I am back in Miami).... I fail to grasp this concept. In Miami, summer starts on January 1st, and ends on Dec 31. In between we party. NOTE: For the year and a half I was in Canada -- there were two seasons... Winter and Construction.

So, I go in and get my money back for that bumper. He not only gives me the cost of the bumper, but sales tax and rounds it up. I'm satisfied, and it was left on a good note. May buy parts, but no service. Alls well that ends well.. congrats!

RE: Anybody like the new Road King Custom?

I am in general agreement. My normal riding gear is a helmet, jeans and boots. If I am just going around the corner, I may skip the boots and just go in my sneakers. Down here, we end up on sand and/or gravel a lot, so boots make more sense. I NEVER skip the helmet.

Jeez, Gringo, can't believe ya got yer luvly lady riding in tennyrunners. And where is the rest of the black leather and tassles?? Yeah, she knows it was not right. Her riding shoes are on the moving truck that comes tomorrow. Lots of furniture moving in my future. :) The black leather and tassles are reserved for in private use! ;)
