The 2016 New England Ride for Kids raised $54,227 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on August 28. More than 600 people on 400 bikes – a 200 percent increase over the year before – joined the event at the Bose Corporation headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts, to show their support for local childhood brain tumor survivors.

The New England Ride for Kids Stars were Chloe, Connor, Ian, Kailyn, Levi, Lisa, Matthew, Ryan and Ryen.

The guest speaker was Dr. Mark Kieran, a pediatric neuro-oncologist and researcher from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The crowd also heard from Stars like Chloe.

“Being told you have a disease like cancer is a terrifying thing, but it’s the people you meet, the friendships you make and the experiences that make it a little less terrifying,” she said.
