Sep 14 @ 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

The Amazing 2 Wheel Chase is an Over the Road Motorcycle Scavenger Hunt in Richmond, Virginia. Teams will travel together to various points during The Chase. The object is to use your brain to advance through, NOT your speedometer! Teams will be challenged to complete tasks at each location to earn points and clues to their next check-in location. Teams must travel together, arrive at the check in points together, complete challenges together and come across the finish line together.

The Amazing 2 Wheel Chase will launch from Forest Hill Park at the A2WC Command Center (shelter #1). Teams of three motorcycles (three motorcycle drivers) are required, so find your teammates and register early. We will announce the top three ranked teams at our awards ceremony during the Community Cookout. A2WC will award over $1,750 in combined cash and prizes. The top team to finish will receive a $1,000 payout plus a trophy!

The Community Cookout & Tailgate is our way of having a good time! It is the Forest Hill Park take over! Join us as we celebrate, enjoy friends and watch The Chase participants come across the finish line. We will have vendors, food, music, a kids park and much more for your entertainment. Forest Hill Park offers a beautiful backdrop with picnic tables to spread out. The park has a playground for children and the A2WC will have a kids’ themed park right in the middle of all the action. We have a limited area set aside for those who would like to tailgate and picnic with us. We also have the Amazing 2 Wheel Chase Food Tent where you can purchase food. 100 Years of Long Distance Motorcycling Multi-Media Show in Colorado @ National Western Complex
Sep 20 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Frazier-DOWN-AND-OUTTwo seminars about 100 years of long distance motorcycling, and dispelling some of the myths associated with global motorcycle travel, will be offered by America’s “number-one extreme motorcycle adventurer,” and well-known motorcycle adventure author and moto-journalist Dr. Gregory W. Frazier. The shows will be during the Colorado Motorcycle Expo (www.coloradomotorcycleexpo.com) at the National Western Complex.

Purpose:  For over 100 years motorcyclists have been riding around the world on a wide variety of motorcycles ranging from Harley-Davidson to Vespa. The first person to solo around the world did it in 1912-1913 on a one speed, 7 horsepower Henderson motorcycle. The fastest person to circle the globe on a motorcycle did it in less than 17 days.

The first couple to ride across the United States did so in 1913 on a Henderson motorcycle equipped with a self-made sidecar. During their incredible ride, having left Long Beach, California on May 24, 1913, they were in Denver, Colorado from July 5-9, 1913, marking the trail for others to follow, and eventually arrived in New York City on September 6, 1913.

The Saturday, September 20, multi-media show at 1:00 p.m. is titled Long Distance Riding Adventures—100 Years. It dispels some of the myths and tales about the first motorcycle adventure riders while sharing numerous secrets of modern day adventure travel.

The second multi-media show, Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 p.m. is titled Sun Chasing—Riding the World and recounts Dr. Gregory W. Frazier’s five incredible motorcycle rides around the world. Frazier is currently on a pit stop during a sixth attempt to “girdle the globe” by motorcycle.
